Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Awubi, the app and website operated by Spread Labs Ltd (trading as Awubi), a company registered in Great Britain under company number 13507760, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, Covent Garden, England, WC2H 9JQ. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
1. What Awubi is
Awubi helps parents and caregivers track and understand their baby's feeding, sleep, nappies, medications, and growth, and offers AI-assisted guidance based on that data alongside NHS and WHO-aligned norms.
Awubi is a support tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, or other qualified professional. If you are worried about your child's health, or think you may be facing an emergency, contact your healthcare provider or emergency services directly rather than relying on the app.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Awubi, created through our authentication provider, Kinde. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Awubi supports multiple caregivers per child. If you invite another caregiver to a child's profile, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to share that child's data with them.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country, to create an account.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Awubi offers optional premium features available through subscription. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to their payment terms in addition to these terms.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings, not through Awubi directly.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies. We are not able to issue refunds directly for purchases made through their platforms.
Changes to pricing or plans
We may change subscription pricing or what is included in each plan from time to time. If a change affects an active subscription, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect.
4. AI features
If you use Awubi's AI chat, it generates responses based on your child's logged data and general guidance, with your explicit consent before any data is used this way. AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not medical advice and should not be used as the sole basis for decisions about your child's health.
You can withdraw consent to AI processing at any time using the AI data-sharing toggle in the app's settings, or by emailing hello@awubi.com, and you can keep using every other part of Awubi without it.
5. Your content and data
You own the information you log in Awubi about yourself and your child. By using the app, you grant us a licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Awubi relies on the data you provide to generate guidance, so incomplete or incorrect entries may lead to less useful or inaccurate results.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Awubi for any child you do not have the right to log data for
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorisation
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
7. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing hello@awubi.com. Deleting your account removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access to Awubi if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably believe your use puts other users, a child, or the service itself at risk.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Awubi. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to Awubi or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice. Continuing to use Awubi after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Where a change materially affects processing that relies on your consent, we will ask you to give fresh consent rather than relying on your continued use.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any statutory rights you have as a consumer in your own country of residence.
